1. Please use this API to request the DNA methylation level of gene from ASMdb:

https://www.dna-asmdb.com/MethAelle/genemrAPI/?myorg=$species&geneid=$genename

ex: gene name ctcf , https://www.dna-asmdb.com/MethAelle/genemrAPI/?myorg=Homo_sapiens&geneid=CTCF or ensembl gene id ENSG00000102974 , https://www.dna-asmdb.com/MethAelle/genemrAPI/?myorg=Homo_sapiens&geneid=ENSG00000102974

The API needs two parameters:

• species: please refer to here
• genename

2. You also can use this API to request the DNA methylation level of gene without other information:

https://www.dna-asmdb.com/MethAelle/genemrplotAPI/?myorg=$species&geneid=$genename

ex: gene name ctcf , https://www.dna-asmdb.com/MethAelle/genemrplotAPI/?myorg=Homo_sapiens&geneid=CTCF or ensembl gene id ENSG00000102974 , https://www.dna-asmdb.com/MethAelle/genemrplotAPI/?myorg=Homo_sapiens&geneid=ENSG00000102974

3. You also can use this API to request the DNA methylation level boxplot between cancer and normal in gene body and promoter:
