DNA Methylation Allele State at Specific-Region

ASM visualization refers to the display of the DNA methylation site distribution obtained from the bisulfite sequencing reads for the designated region of the genome. The distribution of reads on the positive and negative strands and the CG, CHG and CHH methylation context can be selected based on the user’s aims. The obtained results can be saved as PDF documents.

ASM region visualization requires the following information:

1. Source File:

Bisulfite-sequencing read alignment results (sorted BAM file containing MD:Z tags; this file can be generated by BatMeth2:calmeth);

2. Chrom positon for analysis :

Chromosome position for analysis, the defined chromosome region that should be used for analysis and visualization;

3. Strand for analysis :

Strand for analysis, the chromosome strand that should be used for analysis and visualization;

4. DNA methylation context:

DNA methylation context, the selected DNA methylation context (CG/CHG/CHH/ALL) for bisulfite read visualization.
